Soviet censors were generally much more concerned with cynicism and satire than campy things. "Nu pagodi!" is quintessentially cheerful and future-positive, so it was embraced easily. That's why this fucker had a really hard time comparatively. For a children's cartoon, it's a /scathing/ satire.
