I do think Clive is a really good protagonist, and I should give credit for that. He has sincere and strong emotions and grows throughout the story. But even then it just left me wishing they had done more. And yeah by the halfway point I mostly just wanted to play as Jill.

Also, Happy Clive Barker's Birthday to all who observe. If we had polls on Bluesky, I'd ask you to vote. Instead, let us all ponder the eternal question: Will tonight's movie be Hellraiser, Nightbreed, Midnight Meat Train, or Book of Blood (2009)?

I love Clive, but Dion would of made a far more interesting main character. Jill would of made a far more interesting MC as well, instead of getting kinda relegated to the supporting role she ends up.

I really hope the sequel to the 2022 Hellraiser comes through. It was the first Hellraiser in a long time that felt like a Clive Barker story. I'd love to see them explore this iteration of the mythology more. They get it.

Look at the little kitten! Clive is a little kitty cat and I want to hold him on my lap and scratch his head. Cutie!💜🩷🩵

—by the last vestiges of the Phoenix's power. I think it's far more likely that, if anyone survived, it was Joshua, the mortal manifestation of a creature embodying death and resurrection. But even if it WAS Clive, the ending is still awful and the ambiguity serves no purpose whatsoever.) +
