Night 3 of the Coldwaves music festiva. Finally caught up on sleep today, going in with plenty of sleep. Had to navigate post cubs game chicago and wrigleyville. I navigated the sea of drunk cubs fans to get here, but did so without issue.
Another year, another round of my favorite music festival. And tomorrow, a trek convention in the morning, more music at night. #coldwaves

There's something about that generation of artists, they know how to perform in a way the younger artists in the genre can't quite tap into, it's been very evident at the Coldwaves shows, where the newer bands are playing songs & the olds are *putting on a fucking show*, just excited to be on stage.
Philly was only my 3rd time seeing them, 1st was NYC in '98 & they were on their little electronica kick, it was a fun show but they'd moved away from the 80s-90s sound, '22 Coldwaves show they did more technofied versions of their stuff with songs mixed into each other...
I saw them play Coldwaves in like 14 or 15 - their first show back in the US after a while. I feel like I got to be there for a real homecoming, the energy from them and from the crowd was something I've never experienced at anything but small local shows.

Saw them @ Coldwaves & they absolutely blew me away, pretty magical live show. Was set to catch them @ Amphi last summer but had to bail last minute. Appreciate the recs for tomorrow's acts, heard a few songs by both but never latched on too strong, feeling mostly good now, hoping for clean test 👍
