maybe the less porous wood furniture will be ok, sans stuff like particleboard backing (which may still grow mold). but not the soft/upholstered stuff, and the only other post of his i've seen shows people taking mostly couches. (his posts are also gone now, which doesn't bode well.)

i wouldn't say "couches that were submerged in 2 ft of contaminated flood water and will probably be growing & spreading mold soon" = "not quite right" and i don't think it's worth holding on to, once the mold starts growing it'll just make you sick, and mold can spread & damage other belongings.
