Beast Wars can be watched without prior knowledge, and it's great, but some people can't accept early 3D graphics. Car Robots is a more comedic take; Transformers Animated is a very well written and loved series; Cyberverse is generally good, but it takes a while to really get going.

I'd have to think on the bots a lil longer but I'd probably fall in line with Cyberverse Optimus; I just personally love him more than most. He's so silly but also still holds that personal disconnect a Prime should have with the matrix but is still allowed to be a person
