The conversation between the Doctor and Davros takes so many Dalek story cliches and spins them just enough to make something special. Tom Baker and Michael Wisher are exceptional here. Easy to see what this story was a springboard for modern #DoctorWho continuity.
As great as Davros is, not sure he'd be as memorable with the other half of his double-act in Nyder. Peter Miles plays this role so chilling and calculating. Feels like the sensibilities of Nation, Dicks, and Holmes coming together to create the character on the page. #DoctorWho
Funny thing about hacks: they're often great at names. Terry Nation for instance. Daleks, Skaro, Davros, Nyder, Chedaki, Styggron, Oseidon, Mavic Chen, Sara Kingdom, etc. Bram Stoker is another example. Dracula, Jonathan Harker, R.M. Renfield, Abraham Van Helsing... objectively indelible stuff.
Like Delgado as the Master, Michael Wisher's Davros is (and should be) the definitive portrayal. Wisher does so many small things that make Davros compelling and chilling. Shame he never got a second chance to play the role. #DoctorWho
