I'll add a #dnd#writer related crossover technique: If need granularity of location across a scene, build a battle map for it. I had a complex scene in my head recently and pulled up Dungeondraft to plot out where the buildings I was talking about were located.

Dungeondraft, so nothing super special, but having more premade maps to grab during last minute prep never hurts lol
