A screenshot of me rambling in a discord server about the magic system for my fantasy story/au. Mostly I'm setting up the concept of how magic works according to an Attunement to Elements (Aspects) system. I am so sorry there's too much text so I cannot dictate it all, just vaguely summarize :(
More rambling in screenshot form, explaining how different aspect types are best fitted to certain channels, aka methods, for controlling that magic, and which aspects are typically connected to what sort of channels/methods.
Further elaboration going over how Crispin and Ellis both go against the normal expectation of how mages channel their attuned aspect. Crispin uses wind magic to better fight as a battle mage, a magic that is normally utilized for crafting, mending, or other non-combative magics. Ellis utilizes Void for its gravitational heft - instead of being a shield or defensive mage, he adds impact and gravity to every blow to make it extra devastating.

A comparison of Matteo and Ellis in this au side by side. Matteo is considerably smaller in this au compared to normal, as a side effect of his blessed bloodline. Ellis is standing near him with his hands dutifully behind him, but because they are doodled in the nude, he looks very shy about it and doesn't want to look at Matteo lmao.

Matteo moving his hair out of the way to look at the (many) hickeys Ellis left on his neck. He looks a little frustrated and embarrassed, but Ellis is peeking at him from his other side, eyes bright and looking very pleased with himself.
