I'm doing it!
"This shirt contains a lot of information about my family's life. Unfortunately, my grandmother lived under USSR occupation and worked on a collective farm, so she couldn't afford good fabric or thread. Her Polish relatives smuggled thread. The only remembrance of her is this embroidered shirt."
I've been making a crochet bunny for my new baby niece who's on the way, and I embroidered the face and sewed on the ears today! (With lots of "help" from Tannis and Bonnie lol)
today’s project was putting some finished pieces into hoops, basting up the edges, and sewing on felt backing. these three have been sitting in a drawer for 2+ years, so it was a relief to get them all ready to hang
“Bewitching in design and fabric is this evening gown of white crepe embroidered in diagonal lines of crystal beads designed by Walter Plunkett and worn by Lupe Velez…”
Hey, @empowlr.bsky.socialvoteforward.org. My first batch of heartfelt letters went into the 📫 today. I’ll start the next round tonight. (Austin folks, that blue, old-school mail-drop box is outside of Book People.)
Usually I back coasters with marine vinyl so they don't soak through, and now that I think about it I *do* have blue vinyl, but this time I made them reversible felt. Gotta dig out the yellow felt and make the rest. Wokka wokka wokka!
