This really really sucks, because I use Firefox and uBO Lite to achieve "no extension has all-websites access". Firefox also lacks a way to manually remove non-optional permissions from add-ons. I'm afraid at this point Chrome is just the better MV3 implementation, and I'll have to migrate back.

That looks like a great book. I’ll look for a copy. My husband has been a Master Gardener for 35+ years. It’s a program through Penn State Extension. The program helps homeowners with pollinator gardens, native plants, composting, etc. I think he’d love a book like that.
