I'm extremely fond of Filey. My in-laws lived there.

I saw a nice looking "retirement complex" in Filey but when I looked into it it seemed exploitative. We need to find a way to get rid of the sharks who are this as an easy way to turn a profit (alongside care & children's homes). And surely family visit more than 3 or 4 times a year

At Hunmanby Gap this evening Millie and I sat for a while in this spot, listened to the sound of the waves and stared out to the horizon. A pod of 8 Bottle-nosed Dolphins were feeding offshore, making their way slowly towards Filey accompanied by a frenzy of Gulls and Gannets @milliesmum.bsky.social

Oh yeh, good recall there! Be a nightmare to identify! Remember flushing migrant Grasshopper Warblers up at Filey, just impossible to see on the deck! Shetland seems like a great place to see them in the ditches!
