Flashman gives a very good account of why you should never, ever try and invade Afghanistan en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flashma... I’m not sure the err… humour in the Flashman books would sit well with c21st century 17 year old, tho! The books probably come with an additional volume of trigger warnings.
He first appeared in the 1850s as a bully in Tom Brown's Schooldays. He might be the reality of the British Empire but he wasn't held up as an ideal. Even in the Flashman Papers he's depicted as fairly despicable. I suppose Bond also is in Fleming's actual novels, but not so much in the films.
Actually Bond predates Flashman: the first Flashman novel was published in 1969 while Casino Royale (the novel) came out in 1953

De Super Sentai (Sim, Super Sentai e NÃO Power Rangers, Power Rangers é americanização do gênero, eles só pegam as cenas de ação japonesas e colocam as novelinhas de atores americanos por cima) recomendo ver Flashman, Dairanger, Gokaiger e Shinkenger
o Akumaro de Shinkenger e o Monarca LaDeus de Flashman pra mim são o pináculo do design de vilões pra mim (pode ser que eu tenha esquecido de algum outro brabo aí)
