Cortical mechanisms of across-ear speech integration investigated using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39292701/
These findings highlight that fNIRS, with its portability and non-invasive nature, can be a powerful alternative to other neuroimaging techniques when paired with data analysis methods specifically tailored for it.
We introduce a classification framework that leverages the dual nature of the fNIRS signal. This approach significantly outperforms traditional classification methods by applying separate kernel functions and regularizations to each chromophore.
🚀 Excited to share our latest preprint on using Riemannian Geometry to classify brain states with functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS)! www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Ooh, i found my old notes (on twitter) about building a wearable FNIRS that could help read out brain signals related to speaking. Maybe we could get my dad to talk?! So many cool ideas. I forgot I was trying to do that. www.are.na/ultimape/bio...
