Gonna put this Artorias-looking dude on its back Hopefully the plastic plays nice with lacquers, because I want to use my GaiaNotes Prism Blue Black for the armor to make it match the big guy If not, I can break out some acrylic primer first. I still have a ton of it, it’s just annoying to spray
I got the idea from the gold foil stickers that come with the kit, thought it would make sense to expand on that Zoet liquid chrome Champagne Gold marker (came in a set), clean up with the flat face of a drawing eraser. Tried IPA and GaiaNotes Finish Master and it just smears everywhere
Lastly was GaiaNotes Clear Pink Over silver is super vibrant. Over primary metallic red is a bit of a plum tone. I expected over red to be more striking, but it really just looks red I love this color, though, so I’m going to explore more base colors with it another time. Maybe blue? Or purple?
First up is GaiaNotes Clear Red Honestly, the decisive winner here. Star Bright Silver makes for a crisp red, Star Bright Iron is dark and menacing, and Primary Metallic Red is a super rich shade of red Easy to work with, extremely consistent, and really nice pigmentation
I started with five base coats. In each photo, this is the order they are sprayed in: Sprayed over (left to right) GN Star Bright Silver GN Duralumin GN Iron GN Primary Metallic GN EX Gold
This is the current spoon forest. Once this gold dries I’ll be doing GaiaNotes Clear Red, Tamiya Clear Red, Mr. Color Clear Red, and GaiaNotes Clear Pink on each color, plus Tamiya Smoke, Mr. Color Clear Blue, and GaiaNotes Clear Red over the Primary Metallic Red I am nothing if not thorough
