Athena's father is not universally Zeus - there's a Poseidon (which is a twist to Medusa & temple rape) or Triton, or Pallas/a giant/Titan. But a thing about Athena in Athens is her son with Hephaestus, Erichthonius (aka a Apollo); so Athena siding with Orestes is using law for peace vs war.

Hades 2, post major update: Supergiant took Hephaestus’ Smithy Sprint out of the game for being way too strong and reliable, and replaced it with something completely weak and unreliable. Out of all the changes they made in this update, this is *the worst one.*
