it SHOULD go without saying, but a less-than-good rating is NOT an indictment of any individual translator/editor. scripts go through many hands, and there are any number of potential reasons a show's subtitles could turn out subpar--from licensor mandates to tight schedules to lackluster QC practices. as a viewer, the only thing I can comment on is the end result and broader quality trends from specific licensors
