Text included: Valerie Renee 10m - So, the actual hurricane isn’t supposed to hit us until about 4 to 5 AM in the morning, and at 12:30 AM, the storm has only just made landfall in Central Florida. Meanwhile, this happened at about 5:30 PM today at my house. A really, really big maple tree went kaboom. And again, the brunt / eye of this storm isn’t going to hit us until about four or five in the morning. Meanwhile, the first two deaths from Helene have been reported as also happening in Georgia. Our backyard is a forest starting about 10 feet away from the house, and they are saying that it will still be hurricane force winds when it gets to us.
