Nic, the transport spaceship's engineer. They lose an arm and a leg mid story from an accident. They're spacey, playful but also aloof and distractable. They come from a rich family in the federation, but feel their mom especially is overbearing and disconnected from (their) reality Strawberry blond shorter hair, crop top, oversize jacket, shorts, aforementioned mecha arm and leg, thicker thighs when I draw them, and an optical sensor for lazy eye adjustment. Also knee pads for getting down to work on things around the ship.
Kelly / Elly (I switch between the name sometimes.) The ship's reckless pilot. She's tough and butch, but caring when it counts to her crew mates. She's the first to crack a joke, and the last to back down from a fight. She's got an addictive personality, which she tries to work on. Long jacket, flight harness (that's more modelled after climbing harnesses) long auburn hair, light but tanned skin, tough build, and freckles. Probably green eyes idk.
Tory, the navigator. He's Kelly's childhood friend and they've been each other's biggest sources of stress since cadet school. He's anxious, a meticulous planner, and has a cooler temper than Nic and Elly. But he's cynical and casually matter of fact about things others might treat with more sensitivity. He knows how to have fun, but you gotta coax it out of him. Orangey hair, light skin with tattoos on their right arm, undercut, and formal but open shirted clothing maybe with a neck scarf. Channeling mercury from hwbm.
Loam, the ship's newest member. They fill the diplomat and contract negotiator role, but are still earning the others trust. They come from the federation's rival superpower, but loam and their family were never in a position of respect there. They're patient, observant, and cautious, but also loyal and empathetic. Darker skin, black / blue hair. Dark brown eyes, and generally wear formal clothing.

56. We Know the Devil (Replay) I feel like I vibe with this one more than Heaven Will Be Mine and I'm not sure if it's because I'm immature or HWBM just wasn't what I wanted, some of the spark I felt when I first played it feels gone, but I'm really glad I revisited it.
