In my opinion, it seems like Cary & Michael are trying to fuse the classic style with the absurdist style of BFB. But to me, it just… doesn’t work, no thanks in part to how tonally different each series was. It also doesn’t help considering IFDB came out after BFDIA, but before BFB.
