My first pharmacy bill, including vaccines and immunoglobulin was $22000, I think each subsequent booster was ~ $1000. That was what was billed to insurance, so price might not have been what one would pay w/o insurance.
The post-exposure immunoglobulin might be more, but I’ve never needed that one so I can’t personally confirm.
The immunoglobulin sorta sucked but it wasn’t that bad. I waited longer than I should have but the shots weren’t bad at all. What finally got me to the hospital was the risk that if I got sick I could transmit it to the people around me.
Can confirm. The immunoglobulin is weight-based dosing, but is more concentrated now than it was in 2016, so even us fatties would have fewer than 8 shots in the butt cheeks now. (I had 2 urgent care nurses on either side of me giving me the shots simultaneously so it only felt like 4.)

Can confirm. I had to have rabies prophylaxis about a decade ago when I got nipped by a not-yet-vaccinated feral kitten. Initial treatment was multiple shots of immunoglobulin (one in each limb, one in the ass for good measure), and all the subsequent rabies shots were a regular needle in the arm
