Inkotober, day 12-this is Inko's favourite bath-the giant, brightly-coloured, difficult to access bowl that's normally used when cleaning cages. He always insists on using it first, and it's the one he wants at other times too (and if you don't provide he'll use his tiny water bowl) ๐Ÿชถ

Inkotober, day 9-Inko with a beloved bell pepper core ๐Ÿชถ His nails are always long because only one of them actually rests against branches etc to get worn down-all the others are at an angle. It's a never-ending battle to ensure they're at any reasonable length

A photo of a disabled Green cheek conure inside his cage clinging to the front inside, looking at the viewer. There is a red pepper core with half its seeds gone hanging next to his head, also inside

Inkotober, day 8! Inko likes to bite and lick and bonk metal, so that's what he's doing here. He also has a special sound for water (well, liquids) that he'll comment with if he hears it or sees you drinking, or on water bottles he recognises. Sometimes he does it while bathing. Zbbzbbzbb ๐Ÿชถ

A Green Cheek conure inside his cage, perched on a horizontal ladder near the cage ceiling, close enough he's flattened a bit. Someone is holding a metal water bottle above him, on the bars, and he is reaching through to try and bite it

Inkotober, day 7. Inko will not step up on hands even after over a decade, but he likes steppingbup on, and being carried around on, ladders. It accomodates his anatomy and provides stability, unlike branches and sticks where he can't grip or balance fully Also he loooooves red pepper ๐Ÿชถ

A disabled pet Green Cheek conure stood on a flat horizontal ladder placed down on a black electric hob. He is eating red pepper and carrot, and has made a lot of mess

Inkotober, day 5-Inko and Ohtori do NOT get along, and this is about as close as they're allowed to be, supervised only. You can see how threatening 'Tori on the left is being, feathers puffed and raised. Inko wants none of that ๐Ÿชถ

A photo of two conures on wall mounted perches, with a Blue-throated conure on the left, and a Green Cheek conure on the right. The Blue-throated conure is posturing somewhat threateningly, and the GCC is facing away but looking back over his shoulder, wary

Inkotober, day 5-as mentioned before, Inko has various physical issues, and it's unknown if they're birth defects, injuries/abuse in early life, or both. He also a few years back lost a large chunk of beak, and had a deep hole from his cere to that permanent overgrown thicker part. He's fine now! ๐Ÿชถ

A photo of a Green Cheek conure perched on a wooden Y branch, staring at the viewer. His beak is slightly thicker than it should be on the front, and slightly stained by carrot and red pepper

Inkotober, day 4-Inko on the wall gym, investigating this barrel forage toy. Once he has a good grip it takes him seconds to open, but he still likes it, and likes to play with it by throwing it around and fighting it ๐Ÿชถ
