Foster the People - Helena Beat Gonna start leafing through albums I got on vinyl! There’s quite a few great tracks that blew up in the 2010’s radio from this album, but this track sticks out for me a ton with its instrumentation. youtu.be/6urFyRJAzQ8?...
there's a track 'a hate which grows' which somehow nails the audio representation of a growing hatred more than anything i've ever heard; a distorted, screechingly high-pitched warbling slowly getting louder until it overtakes the instrumentation
Gr8 lyrics, fantastic instrumentation. Well-done! 🌻
Oh, OK. 'Motor Spirit' by King Gizz ect. makes an exceptionally good thrash folk song. The instrumentation and choice of choral structures gets better and better as the performance goes on. It's very good, and clearly represents a high effort. www.youtube.com/watch?v=19-z...

Wow. I hadn’t realized this song was a hit in ‘65. There’s something to be said about a good hook, minimal instrumentation, and good lyrics. This tune is 100% fresh on my musical tomatoes list.
