Finishing the audiobook THE BOOK OF LOVE by @kellylink.bsky.social, which I have enjoyed very much. Also been reading the excellent poetry collection NO SHIP SETS OUT TO BE A SHIPWRECK by Joan Wickersham Alsox2, recently started THE STORY OF A NEW NAME by Elena Ferrante.

The last 20 minutes is almost without dialog. For Joan Crawford, who became a star at the end of the silent film era, it's a chance for her to demonstrate her ability to emote via facial expressions only. She is stunningly good. (PS For once in a film noir, a good person lives happily ever after.)
