Actually kinda wild that The DMC anime is gonna house JYB for a younger Dante, I’d have personally taken a funnier route and gave younger Dante the VA Donte had in DMC tbh.

I realize that it's more coincidence, circumstance, and convenience, but y'know, if I had a nickel for every time JYB replaced a shitty person as a voice of a character in a hyperfixation of mine, I'd have 2 nickels. (Also he kills it in each one)

It could have been anyone else... I know they needed a new Dante, but like why JYB. He is known for another character. He is not even trying to sound different

I'm okay with JYB voicing Dante if it means he also voices Vergil.

while I'm supposed to be catching up on the fics on the backburner, DMC anime teaser drops and it's JYB voicing Dante. lol lmao lol even and now I'm kind of annoyed that the anime is doing DMC3 manga (that gave me so much trouble trying to write a version of for the fics) but ehhhh. ^^;

We've already heard a Young Dante though and he has his own tone and voice. Not advocating for Reuben to come back if they wanna replace him, but they could have gone a different direction. Buuuut JYB has said there's a reason for his casting, so I won't be too much of a doomer.

The DMC Netflix anime cast JYB as Dante, and as much as I love the guy, that was absolutely the wrong decision to make, he's already a protagonist in the DMC series, they should have gotten literally anyone else.
