Safety laws are written in blood and this is no different. I am really glad the motion passed and hope this lack of consideration for disabled and older people we have seen in legislation and policy can be addressed as the motion is developed. #LibDemConf
There is no review system to reflect the changing mobility needs of tenants. There is no right to request a property you can actually get out of in an emergency. There is no requirement to consider creating a PEEP as part of a social services or OT assessment #LibDemConf
Disabled & older people died at Grenfell because they could not get out. There is no central repository for Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) and they are not routinely shared with Emergency Services. Meaning nobody knows who has one until it may be too late #LibDemConf
