I couldn't be more woke and I found it ridiculous and contrived. Literally the worst thing I have heard at the LNOTP since the premiere of Harrison Birtwistle's Panic in 1995 - contrived and ridiculous 😡 (I've just looked up the programme for that night and other than that it was a classic year)

I was lucky enough to be there, it’s truly unique. The #lnotp couldn’t be invented today. But we have it and long may people enjoy it for a wide variety of reasons. LNotP was Prom 73 and (whisper it) some of the preceding 72 were better concerts. The Proms is an epic achievement every year.

This daft concert really is like the Romans getting together to celebrate how great they were before the Visigoths turned up. It’s absurdly grandiose, possibly offensive, stupidly arrogant, and very very silly, but also rather fun 😂 #LNOTP
