As it was cloudy I didn't set up for time lapse just experimented with a quick shot with Lunt on tripod untracked. In retrospect that was a bad decision as was pointed out to me I captured the start of an X class flare here😭 a few minutes more should have made quite a nice animation...

Often I look for prominences or flares with my Hydrogen Alpha Lunt telescope. But today, the face of the Sun in that wavelength of light was far more interesting, so I tried my best to mimic what I saw in that region. Google Pixel 7 Pro phone camera shot. #astrophotography

I can imagine Ellen Craig saying something to that effect to Dr. Mark Craig on St. Elsewhere. Looking up their names, I learned the actors both won Emmys on the same night, so I imagine they pretty much always talked about work at home.

Bonnie Bartlett Daniels (born June 20, 1929)[1] is a retired American actress. Her career spans seven decades, with her first major role being on a 1950s daytime drama, Love of Life. Bartlett is known for her role as Grace Snider Edwards on the Michael Landon television series Little House on the Prairie and as Ellen Craig on the medical drama series St. Elsewhere. Her husband, actor William Daniels, played her fictional husband Dr. Mark Craig, and they both won Emmy Awards on the same night in 1986—becoming the first married couple to accomplish the feat since Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in 1965.

Scientists have captured Earth’s climate over the last 485 million years. Here’s the surprising place we stand now.

An effort to understand Earth’s past climates uncovered a history of wild temperature shifts and offered a warning on the consequences of human-caused warming.

Questions for the 🔭#astrophotography gurus. Having only used a camera on my Lunt which was noddy, I am unfamiliar with the tech. I just got my new Orion Optics MKC-140 and mounted on a ZWO AM3 mount with an ASIAIR+ & guide scope. But need guidance for suitable camera kit (a thread):
