"Wrung Out" 36"x36" acrylic and charcoal on linen Created during a LSD trip; fully abandoned my inhibitions and just went for it. Minor touchups done afterwards.

A black and white and red composition of a wiggle coyote with chaotic markmaking, smears, hand prints, painted on a ragged edged piece of linen

It shows!!! You render fur and the muscle shapes underneath it really beautifully. You don't seem to go overboard with markmaking (which has always been my issue when I work with pen and ink)

I’ve just added these artworks/drawings to my website. Though literally as I type these words, I just sold the fox. Sorry about that! www.chloecumming.com

King Prince Charles looking a bit worried and doing something important. Wibbly drawing
A yellow sulphurous rabbit that loves itself deeply
Pencil, coloured pencil, pastel drawing of a fox turning to look behind itself, densely layered markmaking
A wet green grasshopper being all dense and cool

things often seem novel when they're happening now

two journal pages
left: perhaps a grove of trees with dark figures
right: gestural figurative drawings, glyphs
two journal pages:
left; moons, scratched and crabbed markmaking
right: I KNOW, and some ocean patterns and eclipse patterns
on the left, glyphs and nature like markings
on the right, a little figure in a loose brush shirt. cat people faces. scrubby brushes.
a bunch of spattered ink over glyphs on the left
right, squiggly dark plants and the moon.

I love the texture of pencil and the markmaking you can get with it. If only it wasn’t so messy lol I’m too used to ink.
