I'm glad it has offered some comfort in the midst of such mean behaviour.

I had something similar where I kept experiencing anemia and would get too lightheaded to function. In the midst of some brain fog, I panic-made an appointment (online) after reading scary webMD articles.... only to realize later on that the anemia was probably. Uh.. "time of the month" related. 😅

We briefly lost the three-year-old at school pickup, and the seven-year-old was like "oh no! We CANT lose her! She's my BEST FRIEND!" Important, even in the midst of panic, to get in a subtle little dig at the other two siblings

It’s such an important one. Here in NZ we’re in the midst of a cultish frenzy around the misuse of that phrase and it’s disturbing to watch.

Last year RTX Chairman and CEO Greg Hayes bragged about how increased "restocking" of weapons supplied to Israel's military — which has been widely known for years to consistently bomb civilian areas — would increase his corporation’s revenue.

Logos of RTX and its subsidiary Raytheon shown against the backdrop of an apartment building being obliterated by Israeli bombs in Gaza. RTX is shown in top left corner in black font against clear sky, Raytheon logo is shown in red font against a gray explosion or dust cloud near the bottom of the tower in the midst of collapsing under bombs. Both company logos feature the same symbol next to their respective names - it looks like a circular 'loading bar' made up of spaced-apart lines which get thicker in a descending counterclockwise direction.

The top right corner of the image shows RTX CEO Greg Hayes, an older white man in a suit with slicked back grey hair in a typical executive headshot photo. Below his image and faded over the image of the Gaza bombing is the quote:

"I think really across the entire Raytheon portfolio,
you're going to see a benefit of this restocking."

Red Nails has a lot of iconic elements – a lost city, ancient horror, civilization VS savagery, and our hero in the midst of it all, changing history on the edge of his blade. Its legacy as the final Robert E. Howard Conan story gives it extra power, but its also pretty damn powerful all on its own.

Just my line on Swift: found a savvy lane in the midst of a collapse and then overtook the whole enterprise in a way that in some sense is “better” than the field’s previous average but is also exhausting and oppressive
