Can confirm. In 2020 I would reach out to journalists w/ hard evidence to refute false claims made by COVID minimizers, but some journos would instead write articles that framed minimizers' unfounded claims as 'expert opinion'. These stories spread misinfo by equating opinion w/ verifiable facts

Minimizers constantly accuse Covid aware folks of exaggerating the risk of getting Covid while seeking care. Their tone runs from pity to outright contempt and ridicule. This includes health care workers. A friend stopped masking because they couldn't get docs and nurses to take them seriously.
