The queerness of the Moomins helped me to fully accept and love myself with no shame, and to assume my love for others despite hostile voices on the public space. For this and many other things, Tove have my eternal gratitude and admiration.

Also, Tove Jansson was a genius, the more I learned about her while researching for this piece the more I loved her. And I already loved her. Her style in this period is so precise, but also breezy? It was so much fun to imitate it. So many rotating moomins on my sketch page to make it look right..
