9 years ago, a Total Lunar Eclipse took place on this night. I've made a new composite of my images when the Moon went blood red! It coincided with a perigee 'Supermoon', an occurrence that's happened only 5 times since 1900. Next one is 2033 #Astronomy##LunarEclipse#MoonHour

#MoonHour Past full, but a nice Harvest Moon setting this morning. (September 19) (7:45 am eastern time.)

Past full, Harvest moon approaching Moon set in a brightening sky after sun rise, a few wispy white clouds and plane contrails are below the mostly full moon in a blue sky.
Just prior to Moon Set, the white disk of a just past full Harvest Moon is seen in between wispy white bands of clouds just above a tree line as it starts to set.
