Been in #Tunisia. I found turtles in a shopping arcade, visited Carthage ruins and Pupput mosaics, St. Louis Cathedral, and Sidi Bou Said, sampled brik (a tasty pastry), and met camels on the beach. Sadly still saw many ghost hotels, a consequence from those attacks a while ago

Carthage ruins in the form of arches
Tunisian fried food called bric on a plate
Two camels on a sandy beach with the sea and sun in the background
Sunrise between palm trees and some low bungalows

Not quite spectacular, but rather remote and unknown: Floor mosaics from a building in Arykanda. #Mosaicmonday 🏺

I'm really happy with how this paper came out. It's a very holistic view of how sedimentary facies are actually distributed, with seafloor photography, acoustic imaging, sampling, quantitative thin section analysis, and multivariant statistics.

Composite mosaics of seafloor imaging of the Maltase shelf showing different characters of the seafloor. A Biogenic sand with echinoid remains; B Interface between biogenic sand and seagrass; C Sandy bedforms; D Clumps of fleshy algae with rhodoliths and calcareous sand; E Rhodolith accumulations. All seafloor mosaics are north-oriented
