umm let's see, users who have been here since near the founding call themselves Oldskies, and they call brand new folks Newskies different topical communities can be referred to like "poetrysky, filmsky" # tags and keywords work great for feeds/searches so you can use whatever works, really!

i know its cringe or whatever when the oldskies start talking about what it was like Back Then but like it was really good. discussion not discourse. we tried to hold the idea that posters are people too in our heads in our interactions. we allowed grace for nuance & miscommunication. it was good

I've seen oldskies be more strict about reposting with posts that have no ALT text. I also started to be more concious about it & don't repost unless it has ALT But it's probably more because there are so many posts now that some won't see yours anymore unless you post exactly when they are active
