Tonight’s entertainment

A photo of the The Sydney Town Hall grand organ. It is simply stunning

The organ was installed in 1890 as a major feature of the new Sydney Town Hall, the largest of its kind and second largest concert hall at the time. Labelled the world's finest concert organ when it was unveiled, the instrument is now of great historical significance and would cost around $20 million to replace. Built by William Hill and Son of London, the organ was also the biggest in the world at the time, with 126 speaking stops, nearly 9,000 pipes and a unique 64 foot pedal stop. It is still the largest organ ever constructed with tubular pneumatic playing action. The spectacular front case was designed by Arthur Hill.

Among my studies, I walk the beat. Rode into town at sunset on a pedal bike, silent and beneath notice. If you compose in silhouettes and frames-within-frames, even an xt2 sensor at 6400 can make stunning images. I grew up looking at stunning images of ww2 in old LIFE mags. #photojournalism
