@ylvie.monster nailed it. I don’t have direct experience dealing with tree nut allergies, but I think you’ll find folks here very responsive/eager to be helpful. I would recommend having it in Thai on a note on your phone, tho. It’ll be insurance against fumbling tone or pronunciation in the moment.
Eventually, a durable, accurate pronunciation was reached. We watched and quite enjoyed the movie. Kristofferson was quite good (though Burstyn is, of course, the MVP of that one). Little did we know!
