Because Israel has the problem of Napoleon and of Prussia/the German Empire: it doesn't know how to convert battlefield victories into political ones. In December of last year, it should have been openly bringing in the PA to govern Gaza; it didn't, because Bibi hates the PA a lot more than Hamas.

But Berlin\Kitchener was not the only place in Canada to change names during the First World War. Various villages in Western Canada also changed their names including Prussia, Saskatchewan, which changed its name to Leader. 🧵9/10
