the russians have a similar system to the israelis, an overlapping grid of several defence systems that protect each other and basicallt intercept anything before it can threaten the integrity of the grid these missile swarms, if they knock out decent % of them, it can render it mostly useless
because they can. because they learned that they can do this shit unpunished. we learned it hard way. there is no reason to make the same mistake too. push your politicians to give us all the weapons they have so we can stop russians.
it is not the first time this happened on this war, it is not the last. it is not the first war, where russians do that - they did the same in syria, in afghanistan, even in germany in ww2. this is true russia.
military people, especially at war time, is not its own cast, there are people of different ages, professions, backgrounds, education levels and regions in one place. and by seeing what’s army doing you see what an average citizen wants. this is what MOST russians look like when given the chance
that’s more than 3 million russians in the occupation forces. that’s way more than they have in ballet, music, game development or whatever you think russians are doing. that’s the true representation of russian ‘people’.
there are 650k russians killed or wounded (and unable to continue fighting no more) since 2022, there are more than 500k still on the frontline or on occupied territories. there are around 2 millions in reserve.
