You can leave them in the ground unless a severe frost is forecast (do you even get those?), or just keep them in a sack, don't trim too many roots off or even clean them much before storage. They are very dry inside, so will keep for a few months.

Ich mag jetzt nicht die ganze Situation schildern. Im Ergebnis haben wir das gut gemacht. Aber es ist einfach was komplett anderes, Wahlergebnisse zu sehen und so einen Altagsrassisten zu sehen. Alter Sack, der sich freut, "endlich wieder sagen zu können". Das ist einfach erschütternd.
Und mit Gottschalk sollte man so umgehen, wie ich es mit Leuten tue, die mir auf den Sack gehen. Intelligent people ignore.
