The danger of watching an old anime ova attached to a franchise, enjoy it, then start of hunting to know more about it. I've held onto 8 Man After ovas since Sakuracon and finally started to watch them. Such cool stuff and I need to know more.

April 2016: before I forget! The only Undertale print I've ever made, strangely! I sold it at Sakuracon 2016, then later Akicon 2016. People like it a lot, but the colors were always finicky to print.

Seriously every single response I get that isn’t like, someone going “yeah it sucks but what are you gonna do” has been from tac larpers like, your shit is gross! I don’t wanna see some weird GWOT shit at my fun colorful animal convention, take it back to sakuracon or whatever

I feel the same way! I’d love to check out Sakuracon but as a SF/F author (& artist), NWC is my home con. Maybe someday they will be at different times!

Hii! I've had work in the NWC art show since 2016 but haven't been an attendee because I run a booth at SakuraCon that same weekend lol. I definitely plan to have work in the art show again! Here's my panel from this year

No thanks to staying in the vicinity for so long, I was convinced the only good cons were the small local ones, but went to Sakuracon for the first time and... Mind blown. AM is definitely not indicative of any of the other cons out there. AM is like a cancer we just can't rid ourselves of here.

I know an artist from DFW who I bumped into at Sakuracon telling me how AM wasn't worth it and how they wouldn't go back for it. But they definitely stopped by for DeltaH and AH, so...

i think this is why i've seen more people selling fancomic-doujinshi at general zine fests or small comic events here, than i ever did at sakuracon (i don't think i've EVER seen comics at sakuracon the couple times i went.) you'll get less judgment but probably less audience than your original work
