Highly recommend the Scarlet Runners, King City, Good Mother Stallard, Mayocoba, Pinquitos, and Snowcaps. Don't skip the presoak!
Snowcaps are easy and chill, but the wet season is best. From July to December they're not nesting and are very approachable. They're smaller than most of the other hummingbirds and tend to get bullied by the larger ones, but everyone relaxes a bit in the off season.
If I can get close enough (and Snowcaps are pretty cooperative), I use my Lumix 200mm. It's very fast and pretty sharp.
