As much as I love Odyssey and Wonder, when you take them as a pair you do get the sense that they are post-NSMB games and that the core Mario gameplay takes a bit of a backseat to wackiness and spectacle Odyssey is a game where you can do anything and Wonder is a game where anything can happen
Apocalypse Now (1979): The kind of movie that the movies were invented for. An all-encompassing spectacle that uses every cinematic element at its disposal to etch "war is hell" into our collective eyeballs. Both a culmination of the form and an impossible standard-setter for the decades to come.
Yeah like the whole point of this staged spectacle was to portray him as an everyday working guy. Make fun of the fact it’s fake, not of actual everyday working people. Real “back to brunch” energy there.
Kamen Rider has always had pretty good action but with Geats and Gavv it feels like it's been ramped up to some insane levels of spectacle and I'm loving it

Planétarium écoresponsable. Début. La voix off dit "nous n'avons qu'une seule planète....... la planète humaine". Fin. Les lumières reviennent. Les adultes applaudissent. Les enfants se font chier parce qu'ils ne sont pas assez écoconscients. Relancez le spectacle autant de fois que nécessaire.

World War Z is still a frustrating and even at times baffling movie. If it wanted to talk about how zombies would undo the institutions, it didn't really. If it wanted to be actually scary, it only succeeded in moments. If it wanted to be spectacle, well, it was okay, I guess.
