this truly is an excellent thing to keep in mind. i’ve had horrible spirals about practically anything you can imagine, but i’ve also only felt like an actual human being for maybe a year now? there is still time to figure it all out. the hard part is breaking old patterns and taking steps forward.

I’ll get what I refer to as “regret spirals.” It’s like my brain just turns into a swirling void of nothing but my regrets. Can be from yesterday, can be from years ago. It’s why I have a guitar in every room I hang out in. I cling to them like wreckage floating in the water. They help me out.
