Maybe instead of shot spotter we could have sock spotter. Help me match up my motherfukken socks out of the laundry basket.

this website is extremely funny to watch throughout the day, because between like 10 PM-6AM you get a bunch of jams and then it becomes bland white people music walzr.com/bop-spotter

somebody playing two different versions of the terrible song "Can't Fight the Moonlight" in a row, somewhere in the San Francisco Mission

I’d follow Bop Spotter on Last.fm if it posted there.

I love this. As a hobby, I Shazam music that’s playing way too loudly in people’s cars as they drive (slowly) by. Music is all around us in cities. https://walzr.com/bop-spotter

"Heard of Shot Spotter? Microphones are installed across cities across the United States by police to detect gunshots, purported to not be very accurate. This is that, but for music. This is culture surveillance. No one notices, no one consents." Nette Idee.

Somebody hid a crappy Android phone in a box on a pole somewhere in San Francisco’s Mission District. It’s solar powered and the microphone is pointed down at the street below running Shazam. This website keeps a playlist of every song it hears. walzr.com/bop-spotter

A screenshot of the latest songs Bop Spotter has heard. Total Shazams ever detected: 386. That's an average of 136.2 songs per day.

This is so very excellent. walzr.com/bop-spotter We have a playlist of all the songs heard through open windows as people roll up to the stop sign in front of my house in Flatbush. Also a neighborhood treasure pushes a granny cart with the bangin-est boom box, filling the air w/joyful noise.
