Taking some extra time to clean out, disinfect and bandage a cut on the bottom of my toe after being out in icky red tide ocean today. Still worth it. Three days of paddling in a row and today's water was almost perfect, glassy smooth, fast and just fantastic to paddle on. #surflife

Stunningly nice Labor Day morning on the bay here, sun was out early, no fog, no wind, beautiful glassy water that was a joy to glide over! I saw probably about a billion bait fish and one shy leopard shark hiding in the kelp. Not much surf but still an epic start to the day! #surflife

Now, I'm not saying the bat rays are listening to me and respond but whenever I start singing the bat ray song, I usually see one or more of them. Today was hard because visibility above and below the water was terrible, fog above and murk below. Still saw two! #surflife
