Have you seen the flood of Halloween decor at stores already? A lot of places have xmas stuff too! And, every year, people get swept into buying more & more of it... & throwing out last year's stuff, broken or not. As someone who still has ornaments from 1999, I'm horrified 😱 #frugal#thrifty

SAVE DECORATIONS! 

Americans waste over $2 billion dollars every year on plastic decorations tha get thrown away. 

Every year! 

I love decorating for the holidays, but it is more than ok to reuse your decorations annually. It gives things a familiar homey feel. 

Even broken decor can be repurposed; ripped tablecovers cut down for a kid's table or cloth napkins, smashed painted ceramic to fill jars for decorative flowers, etc. 

And, when you buy new decorations, opt for things that will last, like metal signs rather than cheap plastic or melamine/ceramic holiday plates instead of disposables.
