Tanith Lee wrote two episodes of Blake's 7, Sand and Sarcophagus, which incidentally would be an excellent name for a pub

I mentioned this on the other place, but I wonder if any indie pubs might be interested in putting together a tribute anthology or issue for Tamora Pierce and the writers and readers who grew up with her work? I guess the Tanith Lee tribute antho that is coming out got me thinking :)

NIGHT'S MASTER (Tanith Lee, 1978) Is this an eerie and poetic volume of fantastical interconnected myths, a sort of 1001 NIGHTS with notes of "Kubla Khan" and Lovecraft's dreamlands? Yes. Is it a book where a nasty little goblin fucks a giant spider, to completion? Also yes. 💙📚

Cover to NIGHT'S MASTER by Tanith Lee, featuring an illustration of a distant Arabian-style palace in shades of bright yellow, with a murky yellow sky behind and outcroppings of rock, in purple, in the foreground. A bearded man in yellow, wearing a turban, stands among the rocks and gazes, perhaps furtively, at the palace.

Popping in for a hot sec and no one has mentioned Tanith Lee? Lots of pure fantasy of course, and maybe some pure science fiction, but also a vampire on (nova) mars?

What I’m loving is the book/author choices in the photos: Tolkien, Pratchett and Tanith Lee; really nailing the buying demographic 😂
