Filed as github.com/snarfed/brid... earlier, in case you want to track progress. It is indeed a race condition, but at least it's one that's reasonably easy to avoid. (Happens only when threading too quickly.)
A reply just (sporadically?) didn't make it to Bluesky. The log at https://fed.brid.gy/log?path=%2Fqueue%2Fwebmention%2C%2Finbox&start_time=1728105708&key=https%3A%2F%2Fwolfdo.gg%2Fnotes%2F9yz9tw8d...
CONSTANT VIGILENCE when it comes to threading the needle of being On Time.
My hands are considerably smaller than yours, but still ... this is what you call 'wattawhopper'. 😆
My usual source for an October marathon list doesn't appear to have put one together this year, so I'm doing Scarecrow Video's Psychotronic Challenge. And I'm already behind! (Work was shit this week.) Anyway... here's where I'll be threading my watchlist.
Giving up on 'threading' my sims posters here because I don't think it works like twitter, just going to post as individual posts!
Ugh bsky has done an annoying threading thing with the first couple of sheets, but hopefully it makes sorta sense.
obvious question : shouldn't this be using ECS / DOTS / threading? ummm, so I tried DOTS but even though I got something working, I couldn't get good performance? And it got unstable at high load threading makes sense, but I struggled to separate out logic I could safely defer 🤷🤷🤷
really fantastic threading of the needle between “gorgeous contemporary” and “suggests Ancient Rome”
The Skeets app offers threading.
