It's really feeling more and more like it's not safe to be online as a mentality ill, physically disabled, fat, or multiply queer person. And the biggest threat is people who claim to advocate for my rights. Escalating to death threats and suicide baiting. Great ways to protect marginalized people.
As though a wider range of diversity doesn't itself bring its own insider threats and unique agendas, ideologies. Separation from the style of Philby and the Cambridge Five doesn't necessarily insulate from this risk.
