![My initial idea for Akami Waha's design dates way back to primary school, based off of a papier-mâché mask that I made back then [and that I still have].
Akami Waha's design influences are tikis, totem poles, the comedy mask / the tragedy mask, golems, Pinocchio, and the Tasmanian Devil.
This is my 2022 iPad Pro Procreate / MicroSoft Paint drawing attempt at a redesign of my previously posted 2016 Akami Waha concept sketch.
Akami Waha is imbued with a supernatural volcanic power of pyrokinesis that he creates/shoots through his hands.
Akami Waha also wields and sometimes surfs upon his leiomano [a Koa wood-carved, shark-tooth-stringed, and rooster-feathered weapon]. His leiomano is enlarged to surfboard size via magic.
Akami Waha was created by a sorcerer who carved him and then used magic to bring him to life.
